Abomination Tower sequel?
So I've noticed since sharing Abomination Tower in the bundle for racial justice and equality it is still getting over 3 downloads per day. That isn't bad for a game as old as it is. People still seem at least a little intrigued by the concept to download and give it a go.
I know it isn't a the most amazing game, its almost 10 years old and not every ones cup of tea but I think one thing I did pretty well at was the controls. After another 10 years experience making games I'm thinking about making a sequel. Something with more depth, different characters and abilities and tighter controls. I have learned a lot over the years but the standard of indie games in that time has gone through the roof, I'm just one person so it won't be huge but I want to make something people will enjoy.
I've put together a basic character with wall jumping and dashing in Godot and I think it feels pretty good. Is this something people would like to see become Abomination Tower 2? If anyone has opinions on what I should keep from Abomination Tower or try to improve in a sequel let me know.
I'm not sure what the game will look like but trying to make a small metroidvania might be a nice challenge and work well with unlocks like the heads (if I even still include the unlockable heads).
Anyway these are just some ideas I thought I'd put out there if people think something like this has potential let me know.
